The Don Quixote Trail! Day 1

Day 1. Our group arrived in Madrid on September 20th and convened at the Novotel in Madrid. My trip was an adventure - Through a series of mishaps, I lost my wallet so arrived penniless with no way to get to the hotel. Lyndee arranged for a car to pick me up so I could make it to the hotel! My gratitude to Jose with Blacklane car service who found me lost at baggage claim at the Madrid airport. I arrived and was immediately among friends!

Day 2. We went to Alcala de Henares, the town where Cervantes was born. We visited his home. Then we went to the University of Alcala de Henares and received a wonderful tour. This is the first university city. It is really amazing. We ate at the University.
